CHECK THE WEBSITE RESPONSIVENESS

Today having a responsive website adapted to all sorts of devices is very important for SEO, when your website isn't responsive, leads to traffic loss, bad user experience, however, it can also affect your ranking position on the SERP. Hello folks, thank you for joining my course in this lesson. We are going to learn how to check any website responsiveness without any paid software.

VIEW PORT META TAG FOR RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

As an SEO specialist, I have a habit of checking the directives and meta tags, and in this case, there is a meta tag that has control of the page dimensions and scaling, however, this meta tag can be a signal to let you know that the webpage is responsive or not.


Open up a web page URL > right click “view page source”>ctrl F>look for the ligne “meta name="viewport"”

Without a viewport meta tag, your website will be difficult to read on a mobile phone.

Trick:copy this code in the head section “<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> this allows the page to match different screen sizes.

There's also an easy way and most common on the web >opens up your chrome browser>click on F12 on your keyboard>


Then click on the "Toggle device toolbar." So you can see if your site is adaptive for some other types of devices and how it will look.
